Verizon Wireless customers have the option of saving their contacts using a program called Backup Assistant. Using Backup Assistant saves your contacts from your Verizon Wireless cell phone onto your Verizon Wireless online account. When you purchase a new phone from Verizon Wireless, you can automatically transfer your contacts from your computer to your new phone without having to manually input each name and number.

Locate the Backup Assistant application on your Verizon Wireless cell phone. If you do not have the application on your phone’s menu, you can download it from your phone’s “Get it Now” application. Instructions for the Get it Now application are provided on the Verizon Wireless website for your specific phone.

Step 2

Open your Backup Assistant on your phone and click “Backup Now.” Your contacts are automatically backed up to your Verizon Wireless account when you press that button.

View and edit your contacts on your computer by logging into your Verizon Wireless account and clicking on the “Backup Assistant” link on your account overview page.

1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
   1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (area at the top of the phone screen with the time, signal strength, etc.) then drag to the bottom.
      The image below is merely an example.
      
   2. Tap the USB icon then select Media Sync (MTP).
      Selected when an indicator is present.
2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
   Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E (+E) keys.
   Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
3. From the Portable Devices section, navigate: VS980 4G > Internal Storage.
4. Utilize the computer to copy video or picture files from the following folders into the desired folder(s) on the computer's hard drive:
   • DCIMCamera
   • Download
   • Movies
   • Pictures
5. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
